Can you give instructions on setting up a home network between XP and Windows 7 I want to be able to use my computer XP as host system for storing files, so if you access it from Windows 7 on my wireless network. What steps should I take?

If you already have a wireless router and XP, and 7 of the wireless Internet connection, then you're already there.
Just list some files in the shared folder and access to your XP system, click Start> Run and type in your IP in XP syntax:
